Xaviera Hollander, ‘The Happy Hooker’: Portrait of a Sexual Revolutionary

is a documentary about one of the world's most important sexual icons and co-written by Madame X herself.  The film reveals the woman behind the legend who became the most famous madam of all time with her 1970s best-selling book ‘The Happy Hooker: My Own Story” which cemented her significance in the Feminist Movement and Sexual Revolution of the 1970’s. Interviews with Larry King and commentary from America's foremost sexologists explore Xaviera's rise and fall as a madam to her deportation from the United States and her political significance.

The film was awarded the 2008 Best Feature Documentary at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival and West Hollywood Film Festival and won the 2008 Best Documentary at the Melbourn Underground Film Festival.
